About Fempreneur Poder Hub

Rising together.

At Fempreneur Poder Hub, we believe that when women of color rise, whole communities rise with them. We exist to close the gap in access to education, funding, and support—empowering entrepreneurs to launch, grow, and thrive.

Our Mission

To empower women of color to build thriving businesses by providing accessible education, mentorship, and community support that dismantles barriers and nurtures success.

Our Vision

A world where women of color lead boldly, build generational wealth, and transform their communities through entrepreneurship.

Our Story

Fempreneur Poder Hub was founded in 2023 by two mothers, friends, and entrepreneurs who understood the unique challenges faced by women of color in business. As the organization gained momentum, leadership shifted—but the mission remained the same. Today, FPH is led by a dedicated founder committed to building a future where women of color have the tools, community, and confidence to thrive in entrepreneurship.

Born from lived experience, FPH exists to bridge the gap in access to education, funding, and networks. We know firsthand how systemic barriers like student debt, pay gaps, and the lack of generational wealth make the journey to business ownership harder—but not impossible.

Through workshops, one-on-one guidance, and community-centered programming, we’re creating a more just and supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chicago—and beyond.

The Community We Serve

We proudly serve women of color entrepreneurs in Chicago and surrounding areas—visionaries, side hustlers, solopreneurs, and small business owners building with passion, grit, and purpose.

Many of our members face systemic barriers:

  • Student loan debt
  • Limited access to capital
  • Pay inequity and generational wealth gaps

At FPH, they find the tools, confidence, and community to rise above these challenges—and rewrite the narrative of who gets to succeed in business.

Meet The Team- Board of Directors

Jennifer Franco, CEO of Femprenuer Poder Hub

Jennifer Franco is the founder and president for Fempreneur Poder Hub. She is a passionate advocate and educator from the Northside of Chicago. She has overcome the challenges of being a first-generation, low-income Latina mother to make significant strides in the academic sector. With a B.A. in Political Science from NEIU and an M.A. in Women & Gender Studies from Loyola, she's currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education. Her commitment to eliminating racial, ethnic, and economic inequalities in education and beyond is deeply rooted in her Guatemalan background and experiences growing up in a single-mother home. As the founder of the Fempreneur Poder Hub, Jennifer empowers women of color entrepreneurs, providing education, resources, and support networks. Her bilingual proficiency and expertise in post-secondary education and institutional engagement position her as a leader in advocating for equitable opportunities and systemic change.

Jessica Cuevas, Founder of Viva La Mami, LLC

Jessica Cuevas, the Founder and Creator of Viva la Mami, LLC, is a podcaster, coach, and community builder. Once Jessica became a mom in 2021, she noticed a lack of representation of Latinas in the motherhood space. She created this platform after seeing negative stereotypes of the Latina mom online and on social media. Coming from an educational background, Jessica felt the need for Latina moms to share their stories and for Latina professionals to share their expertise so that moms can be better informed about the nuances of Latina motherhood. Since 2022, Jessica has created a podcast and community of modern Latina moms who are reclaiming or following their culture all while mothering in a modern world. She's on a mission to help moms redefine the meaning of madrehood through education and storytelling from a culturally-relevant lens. Jessica helps modern moms find their own path of madrehood and is striving to change the narrative of what the internet and te media perceives Latina moms to be.

Jessica resides in Chicago with her high school sweetheart and two boys who are currently 3 and under. Not only is she a mompreneur and stay-at-home mom, but she continues her passion in college access where she works part-time as a College Counselor at a non-for-profit organization in Chicago.
